Oklahoma: Land of the Big 12 and Sports Gamblers

Oklahoma City is a moving and growing city that attracts high tech industry, big business, and entrepreneurs of all types, and it’s diverse. This city is growing and bringing with it diversity of all shapes and sizes and this means that people want choices. They love their sports teams and they love to gamble on sports. Folks from Oklahoma love to gamble in general and the gambling scene goes back to the early ’80s and beyond. Oklahoma is Native American territory and the native-sponsored casinos have flourished. What bookies need is a system such as a pay per head to help them stay organized.

We say that Oklahoma is Big 12 territory, and it is. The Big 12 is a very big deal in these part and maybe nobody takes football quite as seriously as the state of Oklahoma. There is much more to life than college football and Oklahomans know this. They also get behind their college basketball teams as well as the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder have been in the NBA Finals and the fans have been privileged to witness some great teams since the move from Seattle on July 2nd, 2008. The move seems like so long ago and 11-short years seem like an eternity. However successful the team was in Seattle, (and they had some great teams with players such as Shawn Kemp and Gary Peyton) they have upped the ante in OKC.

The Cowboys, Titans, Texans, and Chiefs are a large draw and all of these franchises have expanded their base to Oklahoma. States without major league teams adapt onto surrounding teams and Oklahoma is no exception. Just as sports fans in Boise follow the Broncos or Seahawks, the fans in Oklahoma have found their favorites.

The great thing about the Oklahoma gambling scene is indeed the Big 12. The Big 12 consists of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Iowa State, Texas, Kansas State, TCU, Texas Tech, West Virginia, and Kansas. In both football and basketball, the Big 12 is a very large draw for sports gamblers.

There is certainly more to the state of Oklahoma than Oklahoma City. Oklahoma State University resides in Stillwater and again, another big-time school with a big-time program in both football and basketball. Tulsa is another large city that gives home to the U of Tulsa and they consistently put together a competitive football and very competitive basketball program.

There is simply no shortage of sports gambling opportunities in the state of Oklahoma and it matters not what local sports gamblers are looking to bet on, whether it’s basketball, baseball, hockey, golf, auto racing, or football, there is always something to bet on in Oklahoma. If there’s not, then the gamblers will hang out in the casino – your casino.

Start working smarter. The pay per head industry has developed software that combines the sportsbook, the racebook, and the casino into one turnkey package. Now you can have all of this for around $7 per head. You can have the security of knowing that your players have the best betting options and they will be happy with you. Stop the madness, stop the phone calls at all hours of the day and night and find a great PPH.
